Keeping Up With the Kattarshians Is the Reality Show of Every Cat Lover’s Dreams
Have you ever wondered what your favorite reality TV show would be like if Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall, and Kylie were instead replaced with cats? No? Us either. But that doesn’t mean we didn’t squeal with excitement when we came across Keeping Up With the Kattarshians, a livestream showing what four adorable rescue kittens get up to all day long in a little cat house of their own.
Guoni, Stubbur, Briet, and Ronja are all rescue kittens available for adoption from the Icelandic Cat Protection Society — in fact, the show has been so successful that one of these furry fellas has already found a forever home, and the other three are meeting with potential paw-rents. This means a pause in the livestream for now, but the Icelandic news site responsible for the stunt promises that a new family will move in as soon as they’re ready. Stay glued to the website for updates.
The Kattarshians are taken good care of by employees and volunteers from The Icelandic Cat Protection Society, according to the website, which includes getting “sufficient time with people which is very important.” The Icelandic Food and Veterinary Authority, the Animal Welfare Officer, and the Expert Veterinarian and Animal Welfare Officer are also all on board for the project, so you know they did their homework in making sure the best interests of the animals are taken care of.
Hey, if a chihuahua can have a Beyoncé-inspired maternity photoshoot, there’s no reason these adorable kittens can’t have their own reality show. And if the new owners are lucky, maybe they can even get paid pet leave from work to care for their new fur babies.
