Barring Heidi Klum and Lauren Conrad (who debuted a spot-on Cruella de Vil costume just yesterday), no one gets into the Halloween spirit quite like Kelly Ripa. Over the years, the LIVE With Kelly and Ryan co-host has dressed up as Katy Perry (complete with left shark), Cher, and “Shake It Off” era Taylor Swift, to name a few.
Now, for the 2017 stint co-hosting her show’s Halloween special alongside Ryan Seacrest, who was brought on back in May, the pair debuted one of a reported 70 (!) whopping costumes they’ll be donning come Thursday, October 26, and trust us when we say it’s a goodun.’
For their first trick, Ripa and Seacrest took on one of Google’s most searched costumes for Halloween: Game of Thrones. “Halloween is coming,” Seacrest wrote, referencing the classic winter line from the HBO hit.
Ripa, for her part, was a picture-perfect Daenerys Targaryen with a somber expression, a flowing blonde braided wig, and period-piece clothing, while the KUWTK executive producer suited up in his best armor in imitation of the Mother of Dragons’ sworn enemy, Jaime Lannister, gold hand and all.
Ripa and Seacrest are set to pay homage to other famous shows, including The Handmaid’s Tale and Stranger Things, as well as Taylor Swift much talked about music video, “Look What You Made Me Do.”
