Kendall Jenner’s Response to Her Golden Globes Acne Critics Is Flawless
As she walked the red carpet at the 2018 Golden Globes looking like a total goddess, it seems some people could only notice one thing about Kendall Jenner — that the stunning model had visible acne on her cheeks. So the supermodel took to Twitter to respond to critics of her skin, and her response was so empowering, we’re cheering.
The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star stood in solidarity with victims of abuse and harassment by wearing a black tulle strapless Giambattista Valli gown, but commenters online were quick to point out a few visible blemishes. Jenner’s response proves that not only does she not care about what the haters say, but also that she’s not letting a few spots stop her from living her best life.
Ok but @KendallJenner showing up and strutting her acne while looking like a gorgeous star is what every girl needs to understand https://t.co/2ufMe2T1Zq

One Twitter user praised the Givenchy model for “strutting her acne while looking like a gorgeous star,” and Jenner herself responded in the BEST way.

Of course, this isn’t the first time the Estée Lauder spokesperson has been honest about her skin struggles. In 2015, she wrote a heartfelt post on her personal website detailing her struggles with acne, saying that it “… completely ruined my self-esteem. I wouldn’t even look at people when I talked to them. I felt like such an outcast. When I spoke, it was with my hand covering my face.”
She’s also opened up about it on episodes of KUWTK, and we love that she is so candid about going through the same struggles that so many of us can relate to.
And this isn’t the first time Jenner has addressed critics of her appearance. She recently responded to speculation she’s pregnant in the best way, gently reminding us that it’s not cool to discuss people’s bodies, no matter how famous they are.
