This Little Guy’s Back-to-School Excitement Will Totally Make Your Day

While some are mourning the end of summer (it’s not over yet folks!), there’s one kid whose over-the-top back-to-school excitement will not only turn that frown upside down, he’ll also totally make your day. Introducing… Kevin! “I’m going to fourth grade and after that I’m going to fifth grade, and I’m going to college! Or high school, I don’t know. Or pre-school! I don’t even know the order anymore.”
When reporter Tania Ortega of Austin, Texas’s FOX 7 news stopped Kevin and his dad for a quick interview, she asked the little dude if he was excited to head back to school because of his friends. Kevin admitted, “No, I just made one friend at the first school I was, then I’m switching schools to here and I’m hoping I can make more friends than just one.” We have no doubt that he can!
He went on to explain why math and science are his favorite subjects, then complained that his mom thinks he’s a baby and can’t walk to school on his own. He also remarked that he has to ride a bike with “protective gear” (holy crud, this kid is adorable), and asked if he can add one more thing before the interview ended. “Hello, students! And also have good luck when you enter fourth grade or fifth grade.” Seriously, just check out the smile he flashes at the end. BEST!
