Meet KidFit, an Activity Tracker That Encourages Kids to Be Healthy
As adults, we work hard to stay healthy, exercise and eat right. There are dozens of ways we are able to track each of those things, but what about kids? In a country where child obesity rates are higher than ever, staying on top of health and nutrition is important for kids, too. That’s why we were pumped to find out that X-Doria, an LA-based mobile accessories designer, created Kidfit, a wearable activity tracker that helps little ones build and work toward big, healthy habits.
KidFit is super similar to the activity trackers we know and love. It tracks movement, sleep patterns and even allows kids to set target goals for sleep and exercise. But that’s not the best part… this friendly gadget doesn’t clip, clasp or click closed. KidFit’s wristband is a slap bracelet that boasts a one-size-fits-all quality. We wish they made a wearable tracker this cool for us!
KidFit works with a free app that can be used on both iPhone and Android phones and features a super simple interface that even the least tech-savvy parent can help manage ;) Kids can choose from an array of bright colors to slap on their wrists and can work their way to reaching their 100-point daily goal one step at a time. Play all day until you hit 100 points? Sounds like fun! And staying healthy at the same time isn’t a bad bonus either.
This wearable is available for pre-order now for only $40, and is expected to start shipping this August. Visit X-Doria’s website to snag one of these sweet slap-on wearables for the little ones in your life. We’re so pumped to see a company big on encouraging people of all ages to practice healthy habits and stay active.
