Planning your little one's birthday party is no small feat. So when lifestyle blogger and events planner Camille Styles saw Target's new Pillowfort collection, she knew it was the best design inspiration for her six-year-old daughter Phoebe's unicorn-themed birthday. To capture a magical quality for her sleepover-inspired shindig, Styles incorporated the collection's new unicorn accessories including rainbow paper plates and even a unicorn-head nightlight. Here, Styles shares all the details of her daughter's party that captures the inner kid in all of us. Scroll on for all the sparkly, mystical (and mostly shoppable) inspiration.
Phoebe's big birthday request was to have unicorn cupcakes so Styles custom ordered these whimsical treats from local Austin bakery Sugar Mama's Bakeshop. How adorable do they look paired with the colorful Spritz Unicorn Paper Plates 10 Count ($3)?
Styles took the Pillowfort Unicorn Nightlight ($17) and turned it into a fun focal point for a treat station nestled inside a bookshelf. Styles tells Brit + Co of the new Pillowfort collection, "I can't get enough of all the unicorn motifs!"
Styles loved decorating the Pillowfort Day Bed ($400) with a mix and match of the collection's printed sheets and throw pillows. The Pillowfort Unicorn Convertible Sleeping Bag ($30) was ideal for her daughter's daytime sleepover-themed birthday party.
To keep with the theme, Styles draped a Spritz You Are Magical Banner ($6) over unicorn-wrapped party favors, each containing a Pillowfort Unicorn Nightlight for Phoebe and her friends. To transform the favors into mini-unicorns, Styles shares on her blog that she wrapped the favors, left two corner flaps up to form ears, then glued a paper cone on top, and drew on the eyes. The favors were a huge hit.
Styles dubbed her kid-friendly punch as "Unicorn Tears" (a simple mixture of pink lemonade, citrus slices, fresh berries, and mint leaves) and draped the Creative Converting Sparkle Unicorn Party Banner ($8) above the punch bowl for extra unicorn realness.
Tucked under the Pillowfort White Sequin Bed Canopy ($40), Styles placed a Unicorn Bean Bag Chair ($55), a pillow, and a pouf for hideaway seating for partygoers.
And the sweetest touch? The fairy wand-making station, complete with ribbons, sticks, and tinsel on the Landry Round Activity Table and Stools ($90).
