Kim Kardashian Found Out She May Not Be Able to Give Birth Again
As her bro Rob spends time with his first baby, little Dream, and her sister Kourtney basks in the afterglow of her kids-free vacay with (on-again bae?) Scott Disick, Kim Kardashian was dealing with a very different kind of family situation. Already the mom to two little ones, North and Saint, Kim is now facing the fact that she may not be able to give birth again.
Though it’s no secret that Kim and hubby Kanye may want to continue to expand their family, People reports that on the latest episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, doctors warned Kim that it may not be possible for her to carry the child herself.
With the reality star having faced super scary complications during her first two pregnancies, the possibility that it could happen again is ever present, and this time around, could be even more serious.
“You’re always taking a little bit of a chance. There are situations where retained placenta could be life or death,” Kim was told by her doctor before her mom, Kris, blatantly added, “You could bleed to death.”
Because of this, Kim has reportedly been exploring surrogacy as an option, with one medical professional telling the celeb, “Using a surrogate is not an unreasonable option. If our goal is to grow your family like you want to, then a surrogate makes sense.”
Kim also sees a silver lining when it comes to surrogacy. “[T]he best thing, I could have a new baby and have no one know and live my life for a good year before we announce it.” Despite that perk, she’s still not sure, revealing, “I don’t know if it’s for me. I really don’t know.”
