How to Use Your Knitting Skills to Literally Save Penguin’s Lives <3

This is our version of the Sarah McLachlan ASPCA PSA, folks, so listen up and keep the tissues handy. Do you own knitting needles? Do you have a heart? Put both of those things to good use and create some sweaters for penguins who need them.
No joke, the Penguin Foundation is asking knitters around the globe to send them penguin-sized pullovers to keep the rescued little birdies in rehab cozy. When they are saved from an oil spill and admitted to the Wildlife Clinic at Phillip Island Nature Parks, the angels there put the penguins in sweaters to prevent them from preening and swallowing the toxic oil before they are washed. ‘Scuse us, while we softly weep into our keyboard.
