Get the Look of Kourtney Kardashian’s Fresh, Family-Friendly Home
Khloé Kardashian might the baking queen (we’ve stolen a few tips from her baking cupboard) and she knows her way around an organized pantry, but sister Kourtney Kardashian is certainly no slacker in the home decorating arena. When it comes to bold striped walls, statement furniture and a chic modern aesthetic, no one rocks it better than our favorite drama mama. Both Khloé and Kourtney actually used the same decorator for their homes, but while Khloé’s place is all about the glamour, Kourtney wanted something more modern and fitting for her three kids. Scroll down to see how you can get the look on a budget, and be sure to check out the full tour in Architectural Digest.
Kourtney’s Study
Kourtney’s study is giving us some serious gallery wall inspo. Kourtney is a self-proclaimed lover of the arts, and her art-filled office definitely reflects her stellar taste. Plus we’re giving her extra points for having so many flowers in her home office… those plants must be why she’s so darn productive.
Channel Kourtney’s artsy vibe in your own home office or living room with an Urban Outfitters Woven Lounge Chair ($329) or two. Give your space a modern edge with a rose gold Cotton:On Pen Holder ($13) and this sexy West Elm Kenneth Floor Lamp ($400). Oh, and don’t forget the art – add this abstract art print from Sharon Cummings The Right Path Colorful Abstract Art ($18) to your gallery wall for a fun pop of color.
Kourtney’s Kitchen
Kourtney is all about her kids, so she wanted a kitchen that was sophisticated, but still family friendly. This massive space is sleek and modern, but the bar stools mean the kids can hang out and help with dinner. Plus the fridge is covered in kids’ drawings, which makes the kitchen feel extra homey.
We can’t help but wonder if Khloe helped out with that super organized spice shelf above the stove. Perk up your own spices with these free DIY spice labels from Paper Daisy Design. Dress up your fridge with some DIY calligraphy wall art from Brit + Co, and add extra seating with these Kartell Charles Ghost Transparent Clear Acrylic Bar Stool by Philippe Starck ($200). It’s totally a ridiculous splurge, but this pop ceramic bowl from Kelly Wearstler ($1500) is just too much fun. If you find a hack for this bowl, puh-lease let us know.
Kourtney’s Bedroom
We are pretty jealous of anyone who gets to stay in this luxe bedroom. Kourtney’s got that whole texture thing down pat with a gray silk headboard, soft velvet pillows and a shiny black nightstand. Oh, and that fur blanket is calling our name.
Grays, browns and soft neutrals make for a really cozy feel that’s totally achievable for those of us not on a Kardashian budget. Add some glam to your bed with a Restoration Hardware Ultra Faux Fur Throw ($79+) and one or two brown Frontgate Decorative Velvet Pillows With Fringe ($79 each). Brighten up your nightstand with a mod gem lamp from Land of Nod Between a Rock and a Table Lamp Base ($79) and keep things organized with this DIY marbled tray from Brit + Co.
Reign’s Nursery
We love taking a peek at how celebs deck out their nurseries. Like the rest of the house, Kourtney’s nursery for little Reign is all about the warm gray tones with rad wall art. Is it wrong if we want that giant giraffe in our own rooms?
Dress up your kid’s room or nursery with a classy Dwell Studio Mid-Century Convertible Crib in French Grey from Wayfair ($600) and a Mohawk dots rug from Mohawk Home Huxley Mystic Dots Woven Indoor Area Rug (on sale $300). Bring the color with DIY rope wall art from Brit + Co and ditch the traditional rocking horse for a way cooler plush rocking elephant from RH Baby & Child Wooly Plush Rocking Animal ($169).
