Here Are Kourtney Kardashian’s Under-Eye Circle Concealing Secrets
When you’re followed by paparazzi as much as the Kardashian-Jenner fam, you can’t really be blamed for always needing to be camera-ready. Via her app, Kourtney Kardashian is shaping up to be a true lifestyle guru with clever tips like doing 100 squats before every shower (!), and she’s back with a beauty tip that just might make you look like you got your full eight hours of beauty rest.
Kardashian’s makeup artist Hrush, who has tagged along on the family’s vacays, taught her some pro concealer tricks to cover up dark circles — and it must be working, ’cause girl has flawless under-eye — and the eldest daughter is passing them on.
1. Color correct. “Always use two shades of concealer for dimension. You don’t want your under-eye area to look flat or unnatural. Combat darkness with a pink shade and use a yellow shade to highlight,” the reality star advises. Laura Mercier’s Secret Camouflage ($35) is a neat way to get both shades you need to hide those suckers in one handy compact.
2. Dry skin, beware! “For dry skin, apply a thin layer of liquid concealer with a synthetic brush. Tap lightly under your eyes with a medium blending sponge to finish,” writes Kourtney. Smashbox Photo Op Undereye Brightner ($20) comes with its own handy brush and is super lightweight, so it won’t crease on the delicate skin around the eye.
3. Oily skin? Use a cream. “For oily skin, don’t use a liquid concealer. Instead, go for a cream concealer. The matte texture will stick to oily skin better. You don’t want your makeup sliding off your face halfway through the day,” she said. Kourtney’s MUA recommends using your fingers instead of a brush to blend cream concealers. Kat Von D Lock-It Concealer Crème ($26) is a great option — and it comes in 21 colors!
4. Set. Set. Set. “Immediately set your concealer with a translucent powder to avoid under-eye creasing. Use a brush for the powder for a natural feathered look,” says Kourt. W3ll People Realist Satin Mineral Setting Powder ($27) will keep your makeup in place all day.
Et voilà! Dark circles are no more. You can get more of Kourtney’s tips on her website.
