Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard Are Having the Age-Old Furniture War Couples Can Relate To
Unless you happen to be totally in sync with your S.O. on the interior design front, any couple that’s ever lived together knows that one of the biggest challenges when moving in with one another can be coming to a compromise about your different styles. He might like dark colors while you prefer light ones, or maybe someone has a love for modern metallics while their better half is a minimalist.
It’s a row even celebrity couples face from time to time: a fact Kristen Bell just proved with her posts about hubby Dax Shepard’s fondness for a certain piece of furniture.

Shepard staked his claim in the living room with a large brown recliner about a week ago, plunking down a La-Z-Boy chair from his office down in its center.
“This is not a bit,” Bell began. “@daxshepard has sincerely suggested the new home for the La-Z-Boy chair from his office be in the center of my living room. He made an adorable argument about how epic his TV viewing experience will be if I let him keep it there. The man has lost his mind.”

Refusing to go quietly, Dax had his say on the matter over on his own page, where he posted a shot of himself enjoying the chair in question. “My wife, in an attempt to discredit my character, will be posting a similar picture, but with the expressed intention of attacking my sense of style in home furnishings. The proof of this La-Z-Boy’s aesthetic appeal is written all over my face. #GetComfy. #FunctionBeforeFashion.”
Shepard appeared to be winning the war, as Bell’s next update was to inform us that the chair was, in fact, still there.
“Guess what’s still squatting in the middle of my living room? @daxshepard’s self-proclaimed throne. The #2017LazyBoyDebate continues. #Decision2017.”

Now, Bell’s tolerance appears to be wearing thin, as Shepard’s comfort is now affecting her view. “This is now my view when watching television at night. You can see how excited I am.”
It’s a conundrum, to be sure, but considering the fact that Shepard DID go out of his way to help his wife meet her celebrity crush, who was NOT, in fact, him, perhaps she’ll let it slide?
For now, the saga continues…
