Kristen Bell has been pretty real about the fact that relationships aren’t always sunshine and roses: Just this past Monday, she opened up to People about how therapy helps her and husband Dax Shepard maintain their status as one of Hollywood’s cutest couples.
She and Shepard get in fights, just like the rest of us — sometimes even all-out wars, if ugly furniture is involved. Their latest tiff, however, came when Shepard got a little too overprotective about his wife’s, erm, assets.
While starring together on the set of CHiPs, which Bell’s hubby also directed, the 42-year-old was less than thrilled about his lady love’s on-set costume choice, which prominently featured her post-baby boobs.

Though he insists he didn’t micromanage her look, the Veronica Mars actress told E!, “When I came out with a chest that size, he said, ‘Great, it looks great, but, you need to zip up the bathing suit up a little bit.” Bell, for her part, was happy to show them off, saying, “Hunny, I get these one time, I want a lot of cleavage, I want this to look aggressive.” Shepard stood his ground, telling her, “It’s pulling focus, you gotta’ zip it up.”
After much back and forth about how much to zip the suit up EXACTLY (“Here?” “No, more.” “No!”) that made for quite the disagreement, the two finally came to a happy compromise, as can been seen in the film (out now).
