Kristen Bell Is *Super* Excited About This Potential New ‘Frozen 2’ Cast Member
The Frozen sequel may still over a year away, but star Kristen Bell has been sharing as many updates as possible — including a recent hint at a potential new cast member that has her pretty excited.
“I cannot comment, but I love me some Sterling, I’ll tell ya that much!” the actress, who voices Anna in the beloved Disney film, said to ET of actor Sterling K. Brown. The This Is Us star revealed to ET at Comic-Con just days ago that he was “in negotiations” to star in the 2019 sequel.
“I mean I would rocket to the moon!” Bell continued. “I’ve been such a fan of Sterling’s for so long. I want him in everything.”
Brown told ET that he auditioned for a new character who will be introduced in part two. The actor has had a remarkable year onscreen, recently earning Emmy nominations for both his role as Randall Pearson on This Is Us as well as for his guest-starring role as a tight-lipped criminal on Brooklyn Nine-Nine.
Previously, Bell revealed that she had already recorded the bulk of her parts for the highly anticipated follow-up, but that she expected some parts of the film to change in the coming months. “I have recorded the movie. There will be edits before it’s finished,” she told Ellen DeGeneres in April. “I know the songs; I know the story — it’s very good!”
The actress then shut down any further updates, covering her face with her hands, saying, “I can’t say much more than that or I’ll get in trouble!”
Earlier this year, Frozen writer and co-director Jennifer Lee also hinted that the film wasn’t yet totally complete, saying that the writers are still considering different storylines.
Frozen 2 is set to open in theatres on November 27, 2019.
