Kristen Bell Celebrates Her Daughter’s Birthday With Never-Before-Seen Pregnancy and Labor Pics
Kristen Bell is pretty open with her fans, sharing everything from the adorable roller-skating date she just enjoyed with hubby Dax Shepard to the “toxic” relationship behavior they had to overcome. Today, though, she took the sharing one step further by posting some never-before-seen pics from her pregnancy and labor in honor of daughter Delta’s birthday.
“Three years ago today. 47lbs heavier,” the Good Place actress captioned her series of photos on Instagram, the first of which shows the then-pregnant actress sitting on a yoga ball to help relieve some of the aches she was experiencing.
Thankfully, Shepard was there to lend a helping hand or two, giving his wife back rubs while also looking a little amused by her labor-approved underwear. “Getting through painful contractions with backrubs and breathing,” she wrote.
The Good Place star also shared a photo of herself utilizing some of the hospital’s equipment in whatever way was most useful in the moment. She explained, “Occasionally swinging from the IV pole to try and feel sexy…”
There was a birthing-related reason for the movements as well. The star said she was trying to “open up [her] hips.”
While she certainly went through a range of feelings (both physical and emotional), in the end it was all worth it. “After 36 hours of labor I met a girl I love more than all the molecules in all the world. Happy birthday, Delta. Love, mom.”
She didn’t end things there, though. Showing off her sense of humor, Bell — who is also the mom of four-year-old Lincoln — topped off her message with the fitting hashtag “#meshpanties.”
