Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott Welcomes Twin Baby Girls!
Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott skipped out on the 2018 Grammys for a pretty good reason! The country singer was #waitingonthetwins, and has revealed that she gave birth to twin baby girls just hours after the show.
“Our family is thankful and proud to announce the arrival of our precious baby girls,” Scott wrote on Instagram. The caption accompanied a pic of two tiny newborn knit hats. “They were born in the early hours of January 29th, 2018 and we can’t wait to share more about them in the days to come. Thank you to everyone who prayed and prayed for these little ladies, and thank you Lord for healthy babies. #twins”
Scott and husband Chris Tyrell first announced they were expecting back in August, when they surprised their four-year-old daughter Eisele with the news that she’d be getting TWO little sisters.

Although Scott wasn’t able to attend the Grammys, her Lady Antebellum bandmates Dave Haywood (who also welcomed a new baby in December) and Charles Kelley made sure she was with them in spirit — and in cardboard cutout.

Scott admitted that the gesture made her cry and laugh in equal measure. “I literally have the best band mates and family in the whole wide world,” she said when she saw them waving around her little cutout on TV. “It’s been a bittersweet day not being in NYC, but I’ve never felt more in two places at once.”
The group didn’t take home either of the Grammys they were nominated for, but we’d say it was a pretty successful evening regardless. Congrats to Scott and Tyrell’s growing family!
