Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s 2019 Oscars Performance Has People Feeling Some Type of Way

Just before she won her first Oscar for Best Original Song at the 91st Annual Academy Awards on Sunday, February 24, Lady Gaga took to the stage with her A Star Is Born costar Bradley Cooper to sing an intimate version of their duet “Shallow.”

How intimate? For fans watching at home (and we’re sure in the audience, too), it seemed as if Gaga and Cooper were the only two people in the world during the three-minute performance. With no formal introduction, the pair took the stage from their front-row seats while stagehands rolled in microphones and a piano.

The audience at the Dolby Theatre broke into cheers when Gaga began singing. And they audibly gasped when Cooper sat down next to her at the piano toward the end of the duet. The actors finished the song cheek-to-cheek — and the internet promptly erupted.

Cooper, of course, is happily coupled up with Irina Shayk, but that hasn’t stopped fans from shipping him and Gaga — especially now that Gaga has split from her fiancé Christian Carino.

Everyone was in their feelings.
