Lady Gaga Finally Broke Her Silence on the Super Bowl Body-Shaming
Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl halftime show wowed us with her aerial acrobatics (and, yes, Pink has something to say about the copy-cat accusations), a roof-jumping stunt, drones and a subtle political message which you may or may not have picked up on. What didn’t impress us was the body-shaming the singer was subjected to, and despite fans coming to her defense in the best way, Lady Gaga has finally broken her silence on the Super Bowl body-shaming.
Taking to Instagram, Lady Gaga addressed the sitch directly, saying, “I heard my body is a topic of conversation so I wanted to say, I’m proud of my body and you should be proud of yours too. No matter who you are or what you do.”

She added, “I could give you a million reasons why you don’t need to cater to anyone or anything to succeed. Be you, and be relentlessly you. That’s the stuff of champions. thank you so much everyone for supporting me. I love you guys. Xoxo, gaga.”
With nearly a million likes on the post, it’s clear that Gaga’s fans got the message and are totally here for it, as are we. You do you, lovely little monsters (as Gaga would say).
