Sneak a Peek at the Lauren Conrad x Rifle Paper Co. Collection
Floral prints will be a thing come spring. It’s a sartorial given, just like the actual buds that will grow after the freeze we’re now just a few months away from. But come early next year, there’s a special petal design headed for the racks that’s getting us especially excited for our wardrobes to come into full bloom, courtesy of Rifle Paper Co. and Paper Crown, Lauren Conrad’s clothing line.
The pairing of the indie-feeling stationery brand and ultra feminine label is a “match made in heaven,” according to Lauren Conrad in the blog post on her website that featured a sneak peek at the perky spring 2015 collection — and we have to agree. The urban-boho pieces are divided between crisp all-white (and maybe pale yellow *squints*) garments that would boost any office wardrobe and ones that feature Rifle creative director Anna Bond’s whimsical floral prints. From bright, modern poppies bursting in ombre orange bouquets against a navy background on breezy maxis to more traditional pale pink roses with sage colored greenery on tank blouses and skater dresses, these are the kind of clothes you’d wear to an early spring wedding.
But the collab doesn’t stop there: Rifle is in turn releasing a corresponding, LC-approved paper collection. According to a first glimpse seen on (where else?) Lauren’s Instagram feed, the stationery will actually depict standouts from the clothing line in Anna’s signature watercolor-inspired strokes — think: a wanderlust-spurring scene of a gal sipping coffee in a French cafe, dolled up in a Paper Crown lookalike. Both are set to launch in February ahead of a string of formal spring holidays, from Easter to Mother’s Day. We don’t know about you, but we’ll definitely be killing two birds with one stone all season long thanks to this team up.
