Lauren Conrad Shares Some Pregnancy Wisdom and Thoughts on Motherhood
Lauren Conrad just revealed the sex of her baby using her grandma’s keepsake and certainly seems to be livin’ up the preggo life, enjoying a baby shower that was a poolside dream and dropping a super stylish maternity line just in time for summer. And while the soon-to-be first-time parent reveals that “you can’t plan everything” when it comes to motherhood, she also happens to have some words of wisdom when it comes to being pregnant.
“My advice for newly pregnant [people] would be to try your best to enjoy your pregnancy,” the 31-year-old said during a chat while shooting a cover for Fit Pregnancy and Baby. “Ya know, there’s definitely hard days when you aren’t feeling great, but it does kind of go by quickly. So, I would say enjoy it, take lots of photos… try and remember the fun parts about being pregnant.”
When it comes to labor, she has an easy-breezy outlook, heeding her friends’ advice regarding having a birth plan while also being open to going with the flow, saying, “My main concern is doing whatever’s right in the moment.”
But once the little one arrives, Conrad realizes she has some thinking to do when it comes to privacy vs. publicity, saying, “I’m going to have to figure out how much of motherhood to share on social media. Obviously you want to protect your child in every way you can. At the same time, my brand is based on being accessible and sharing the milestones of my life, and I’m so excited about it all. I’ll find a middle ground.”
Let’s hope that middle ground at least includes a few pics of her little bundle of joy once the big day arrives.
