3 Beauty Secrets to Perfect Wedding Day Prep from Lauren Conrad
Lauren Conrad tied the knot way back in September, but even in the beginning of spring 2015 we’re still finding ourselves ogling over her dreamy wedding. From her floral alter to the dramatic dress, it was pretty much nuptial perfection. If you find yourself wanting to copy everything the California girl does, you’re definitely not alone. Luckily, Lauren is all for sharing her beauty tips and tricks. Earlier this week she showed us how to get her perfectly messy beach waves and yesterday she sat down with InStyle for a video interview where she chatted about everything she did to prep for her wedding day.
If you’re headed down the aisle anytime soon, take a gander at these three simple tips that helped the lifestyle guru feel like a million bucks on her big day.
1. Take extra good care of you skin. Because nobody wants to deal with a giant zit on their wedding day. In the months leading up to your wedding, make sure you’re thoroughly washing your face on a daily basis. Maybe even add in a weekly face mask treatment. If you do decide to try something new, be sure to test it out at least a month prior to your wedding date. You don’t want to have a bad reaction to a product and be dealing with the repercussions too close to the event.
2. Eat clean beforehand. This will definitely help with step number one, but it will also just leave your body feeling great on your big day. Lauren told Instyle that she didn’t do any hardcore dieting or gym regimens before her ceremony — she just made sure to treat her body right.
3. Wear as little makeup as possible. Okay, you’re definitely going to want to wear more makeup than normal on your wedding day, but remember not to overdo it. You’re going to have these pictures for the rest of your life, so shy away from doing anything too trendy. An amped-up natural look tends to work best. If you’re up for doing your own makeup come the big day, be sure to check out our bridal beauty tutorial or use it as inspo for your stylist.
