Lena Dunham Just Got a Drastic New Haircut
Lena Dunham isn’t here for the haters. The body positive actress styles herself the way she wants, from her clothes to her hair. While she has gone through some tress transformations in the past (hello, ombré and pixie!), Dunham just debuted a smashing new short ‘do.
The Girls star hopped on Instagram yesterday to show off her fresh cut, captioning it, “Your mom’s therapist friend she leaves your dad for.” LOL! It definitely takes quite a bit of nerve to go so short, and we’re glad Dunham took the plunge.
Previously, Dunham had been sporting hair that went just past her shoulders, which she wore up in two adorable space buns for the BAM Cinema Festival in Brooklyn earlier in the week.
And in case anyone doubted whether she really sheared her locks, Dunham also posted a shot in which she held her recently departed tresses and said, “Didn’t make it to Locks of Love length but if y’all are considering a cut and have a 10 in pony tail I urge you.”
Hear, hear! Even if you don’t want your hair anymore, there’s someone who would love to have it. And the start of summer is the perfect time to do it.
