Let These 3 Celebs Show You How They DIY for the Fourth of July
Fourth of July weekend is here in all its American glory, and while we’ve already armed you with 24 amazing party ideas, 25 red, white and blue mouthwatering recipes and 20 refreshing Fourth-themed cocktails, there are three celebs who are taking to Instagram to show off their own DIY takes on the holiday. Better yet, they’re showing you how to recreate their handiworks, step-by-step. Check out their creations below!
1. Haylie Duff: Hilary’s big sis and actress in her own right, Haylie Duff, is pretty much a DIY guru — she even has her own cooking blog, Real Girls’ Kitchen — so it’s no surprise that she’s gearing up for the Fourth with a homemade treat of, well, American proportions. “It’s a July 4th takeover on #realgirlskitchen,” she says. She isn’t kidding! In addition to a recipe for the pictured jalepeno chili cheese dog, Haylie also offers up some spicy eat’n’peel shrimp. Yum!

2. Tori Spelling: Next up is the newly rose-gold haired Tori Spelling, who made this cute-as-can-be serving tray with a little imagination and some confetti. “It’s super easy and fun for your little ones, too!” she says (Tori made hers with daughter Stella). Copy her creation with this easy peasy online tuTORIal (clever, no?).
3. Courtney Sixx: Last but certainly not least is How2 hostess with the mostest, Courtney Sixx. Courtney showed us not one, but two clever tricks for our holiday prep work, and both were easy as American pie. First up? These darling custom Independence Day napkins, which require little more than cloth napkins, fabric spray paint, a paper star and twine.
Courtney also showed us how to make some super-festive glasses for all those cocktails by dressing up a couple of Kerry jars with some brightly colored buttons or brooches.
