Liam Hemsworth Made a Surprise Cameo During Miley Cyrus’s “SNL” Skit and We’re Swooning
Saturday Night Live has given us some amazing celebrity moments in the past few weeks, with Gal Gadot proving she’s a real-life superhero and a long overdue reunion between La La Land‘s Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, but none have been quite so cute as the one Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth shared on the show last night.
The 27-year-old actor appeared with his lady love, who served as the show’s musical guest, during a parodied “celebrity edition” of The Price Is Right.
In the skit, Miley plays an eager contestant named Amanda who’s paired up with “Chris Hemsworth” (SNL cast member Alex Moffat) to face off against other stars, including Bernie Sanders (Larry David), Lil’ Wayne (Chris Redd), and Tilda Swinton (Kate McKinnon).
After calling “Chris” cute and learning that he’s already married, the Malibu singer asks, “Do you have a brother?” warranting plenty of laughs from the crowd.
It only got better when her Price Is Right partner asked to “phone a friend” to help them bid on the washing machine up for grabs onstage. “As I’ve already told you multiple times backstage, that’s not a thing you can do on this show,” host Drew Carey (Beck Bennett) tells the faux Hemsworth.
As the scene cuts back to Cyrus, 24, and her game show partner, they’re suddenly joined by her RL fiancé, with Moffat quipping, “It’s too late; I already did — it’s me brother!”
Together, the “brothers” play up their Australian stereotypes with their bit, saying, “You see, in the Outback, we don’t really use money. We rely on a complex bartering system… we bid 150 crocodile teeth!”
While the trio didn’t win the pretend game, the real winner was the audience, who got to share in Liam and Miley’s mega-cuteness!
What an adorable pair!
