Liam Payne and Cheryl Cole Have Given their Baby Boy an Unexpectedly Trendy Name
Liam Payne and Cheryl Cole may not have had a name ready when they welcomed their new baby boy into the world (hey, not everyone has Kristin Cavallari around to help), but now, a week later, they’ve apparently hopped onto the hottest new parenting fad by giving their little one an unexpectedly trendy name.
Despite being from the UK, first-time parents 23-year-old Payne and 33-year-old Cheryl are right in line with LA moms and dads by choosing a unique and unisex name with a similar vibe to Zen, River, or Story. People has confirmed that they’ve opted for Bear, and while it’s a bit different from what we’re used to, we actually really like it.

While not 100 percent unique — Chef Jamie Oliver named one of his kiddos Buddy Bear Maurice Oliver and Liam even tweeted to his son’s moniker-twin, Bear Grylls, after the adventure show host complimented the choice — it’s still somewhat unexpected and wildly cute.
We also can’t help but note that Bear Payne (sounds like bear pain, no?) is a pretty hardcore name for a little dude.
