Lily Collins Just Channeled Belle from Beauty & the Beast on the Red Carpet
We’ve seen Lily Collins as Snow White in 2012’s Mirror, Mirror, but last night, it was a different Disney princess she was channeling on the red carpet: one Belle from Beauty & the Beast (soon to be a live-action film!).
In fact, Lily nailed the look so hard, we wondered (just for the tiniest of seconds) if Disney hadn’t cast the wrong girl in Emma Watson (and then we remembered the feminist touch Emma lended to the film and thought again).
Still, the back-to-brunette Lily was a vision, looking every bit the fairty-tale part in her silky gold asymmetrical Amanda Wakeley gown. “Last night was pure gold,” she wrote of the below photo.

Fans were quick to spot the resemblance, with one writing, “Tale as old as time” in a nod to a classic line from the animated film, and others lamenting Lily’s absence in the live-action remake.

Lily was just happy to have the chance to wear the gown, saying, “Privileged to have attended this year’s #GovernorsAwards gilded in @amandawakeley.”
Between the golden-hued gown and those chestnut brown tresses, the only thing missing here was the Beast!
Looks like she’s still got the Disney magic: Might we suggest a reprisal of her famous role for the upcoming live-action Snow White?
