This Site Tells You What Lipstick to Wear According to Your Hair Color
Crazy-colorful hair colors are popping up on everyone these days, from our Community Editor Angela (who recently got trendy oil-slicked hair) to celebs like Kylie Jenner and Gigi Hadid. At this point, we almost *expect* to see someone rocking a new wild color everyday (this week, galaxy hair made its debut), but gals wearing equally bold lip colors that pair perfectly with their rainbow-colored hair? That’s a move we weren’t expecting.
Recently controversial makeup brand Lime Crime, a brand known for its insanely bold lip colors, is making its way into the hair color market with a line of hair dye in the works. To publicize the news, the brand recently launched a matchmaking service on their website that finds your bright hair color’s *perfect* lipstick match, taking out all the guesswork involved with what eye-grabbing hues work well together. Once you’re on the Hair landing page, just click on the color that matches your current hue, like pink, purple, orange, green or blue, to see which of the brand’s lipsticks will make your hair color pop even more.
Don’t think that Lime Crime is suggesting pink lipstick to pair with your pink hair, though — it’s not that simple — they’re all about finding awesome contrasts that really elevate your look. If you have pink hair, the site recommends their mint green Mint To Be or lilac D’Lilac lipstick shades. Rocking a shocking green hair hue? Lime Crime says you should opt for a deep brown or sky blue lipstick shade. The site recommends bright red lips with blue hair — not what we’d expect, honestly, but we can imagine the combo is striking and awesome. If you’re already bold enough to rock brightly-colored hair, then why not take it to the next level by swiping on some lipstick that’ll make people do a double-take?
Which of these combos is your favorite? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
