Limited Too Is Making A Comeback And Bringing The Early 2000s With It
Staff Writer, Jasmine Williams, covers a variety of topics from home decor to beauty and everything in between. She has bylines at Motherly, The Everymom, and Byrdie where she wrote about motherhood, beauty, health and relationships. Jasmine knew she wanted to be a writer when she realized she was actually interested in reading the articles in her mom's favorite magazines — and she may or may not have ripped her favorite articles out to study them later. When she's not working, you can find Jasmine playing make-believe with her toddler, spending an undisclosed amount of time in Target or TJ Maxx, and searching for a family-friendly puppy to add to her family.
If you're a millennial, chances are you were under the spell of Limited Too. It was the place to shop for tween girls, filled with everything that was trending at the time — bright colors, sparkles, ruffles, and more. And now, the brand is officially making its comeback for the first time in 15 years!
My inner pre-teen is screaming because I loved shopping there. I have zero problems admitting that most of my clothes had a Limited Too tag...and I may or may not have even celebrated my birthday there once.
Have a special place in your heart for this beloved 2000s brand, too? Keep scrolling to find out everything about its revival! You're about to get the Limited Too fix you didn't know you needed this summer!
Is Limited Too really coming back?
Yes! On June 3, Limited Too made their first Instagram post, with the above picture captioned, "Share the Nostalgia #LTD2."
I can understand if your heart is pounding — this sent everyone and their mother into a frenzy trying to find out what's going on. Other posts continued to come in with captions like "Rediscover an icon #LTD2" and "We promise - we’re not playing with your emotions #LTD2 #ShareTheNostalgia."
And it's not just one Instagram account teasing this massive comeback — Limited Too's website is up and running, with sneak peaks, recent press, and fun buzz about what's to come. The About Us page explains that Limited Too is "a living fashion legacy that embraces the next generation of tweens with confidence and self-expression." It goes on to say, "celebration of the past and an inspiration for the present, honoring the heritage that made Limited Too a household name."
Okay, I'm convinced!
When is Limited Too relaunching?
According to Instagram, Limited Too will be back starting in July — AKA next month!
All I can think is, "Are you kidding me right now?!" I can't believe we're possibly less than a month away from the relaunch of one of the greatest tween stores ever made! Talk about taking a moment to heal your inner child!
How are people reacting to Limited Too's revival?
I'm not exaggerating when I say that other people are just as excited as we are! Former Disney Channel star and current musician Aly Michalka said, "Can't handle," and Bravo-lebrity Paige DeSorbo commented, "GUYS HELLO??????"
Other fans like@emilygenevieve commented, "I don’t know if y’all understand how much millennials need this right now. Please be adult sizes," while @kay_topia wrote, "Omg I’m gonna cry if y’all are back in business. Found out my dad kept all my limited too bucks after [he] passed! He would be so hype for me 🥹❤️"
There are so many more great comments — we could be here all day sharing them with you, but all that matters is that the hype for Limited Too is real! The girls want all the nostalgic girlhood vibes, and they want them now!
