#Oatporn. Yes, it looks as sexy as it sounds.

#Oatporn Is the Latest Instagram Food Trend We’re Not Even Mad About

According to nutritionists, what you decide to eat for breakfast normally determines how you’ll feel for the remainder of the day. As much as we would love to eat marshmallow crispy Oreo pancakes for the rest of our lives (with a side of bacon, please!), this kind of meal won’t fuel us and definitely doesn’t have Mom’s stamp of approval. However, a healthy Instagram trend recently emerged, and we think it’s the kind of healthy breakfast that tastes like a dessert. It’s called #oatporn, and it looks sexy AF. Instead of dressing up your smoothie bowl, this trend takes your oatmeal to a whole other level with OTT fruit designs. Want to replicate this trend for your own morning meal? Check out the recipe below.

Instructions:

1. Follow the directions on the box to cook two bowls worth of oatmeal. Pro tip: Use milk instead of water to make a creamier batch.

2. Cut pear into smaller slices and place them into a skillet that is filled with butter and sugar to make them sweet and crispy.

3. While the oats and pears are cooking, cut the starfruit into slices.

4. Next, cut the kiwis down the middle, and with a small, round scoop (or a 1/4 teaspoon), carefully scoop out little balls. Usually you can get about four small balls from each side.

5. Once the oats and pears are cooked, pour the oatmeal into two bowls and playfully decorate the top of your oatmeal with different fruits, chia seeds, and coconut flakes.

6. Serve immediately.
