Start Your Morning With These Quick and Easy Raw Buddha Bowls

It's never too late to hop on the health train, and we have two simple and quick buddha bowl recipes to get you excited to jump back into the swing of things. The avocado smoothie bowl has an abundance of fruit to help start your morning and the raw buddha bowl with lemon tahini dressing will give you some midday energy. The best part? They only take five minutes to prepare. Scroll on!

Raw Avocado Smoothie Bowl

Ingredients:

  • 1 pitted avocado
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 banana sliced
  • 1/2 cup mango
  • 1/2 cup blackberries
  • 2 Tablespoons hemp seeds
  • 2 Tablespoons flax seeds
  • 3 Tablespoons coconut flakes
  • 3 Tablespoons sunflower seeds
  • handful of ice cubes

Instructions:

Toss your avocado, almond milk, cinnamon, half of your banana, hemp seeds, flax seeds and ice into a blender and blend until smooth. If you want to sweeten it a bit, add some raw honey.

Pour your avocado smoothie into a bowl and top with the toppings of your choice! We covered ours with the rest of our banana slices, cubed mangos, blackberries, coconut flakes and sunflower seeds.

Raw Buddha Bowl

Ingredients:

  • 2-3 cups spinach
  • 1/2 cup diced carrots
  • 1/2 cup broccoli
  • 1/2 cup cauliflower
  • 1/2 can chickpeas
  • 1/2 can black beans
  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/2 cup shelled edamame
  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers
  • 3 Tablespoons pumpkin seeds

Instructions:

Layer your greens first, then pack in your beans which will add a great source of protein (black beans and chickpeas), then top with all the goodies. Remember, the more color the better!

Raw Lemon Tahini Dressing

Raw Lemon Tahini Dressing ingredients Buddha Bowls

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 1 lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1-2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
  • A dash of turmeric powder

Instructions:

Pour all of the ingredients in a mason jar or bowl.

Whisk with a fork or screw on the lid and shake. Taste and add any ingredient you feel is lacking. To sweeten, add a little raw honey.

Pour over your beautiful raw buddha bowl and enjoy!
