If You Want to Dress like a French Girl, You Should Be Shopping Here
We are all for embracing our inner Parisian. While we might actually be stuck in a snow storm and chowing down on a stale bagel, we’re not-so-secretly pretending to be strolling down the Seine with a croissant in hand, rocking some perfectly undone waves. If you want to take your French flair to the next level, we suggest starting with a shopping spree over at the online boutique Loup (and then of course, changing your diet to consist only of bread, wine and cheese).
Technically this label is based out of NYC, but Danielle Ribner, the designer behind Loup, created the label as a love letter to the city of lights. Inspired by Parisian art and fashion and classic French style icons like Brigitte Bardot, Jane Birkin and Françoise Hardy, the designs manage to beautifully blend classic cuts and contemporary designs. The result? Effortless pieces that perfectly evoke that certain je ne sais quoi.
If you’re slightly freaking out over everything on the site, you’re not the only one. The label made it into the closets of Blake Lively, Emma Stone, Jenny Slate and Kate Bosworth. If you’re going to get any Hollywood starlet’s seal of approval, these four are pretty much as good as it gets.
With so many amazing pieces it’s nearly impossible to pick one favorite, but there is a definite standout: The Party Icons Henri Top ($136). The fun silky blouse is illustrated by Jenn Talesfore with some seriously adorable French party icons including a baguette, a glass of wine and even a pair of black panties! Ooh la la!
Now, we can’t say that you’ll magically become fluent in French when you slip on any one of these garments, but we also aren’t saying that you won’t ;)
