Lucy Hale Apologizes for Body-Shaming Herself, Says She’s Her Own “Worst Enemy”
Lucy Hale’s fans were not only surprised when the Teen Choice Awards-nominated Pretty Little Liar’s star commented that she looked “fat” in a photo, they were also disappointed that one of their fave celebs would choose to body-shame herself. Now, Hale has apologized and taken responsibility for what she says was a result of being her “own worst enemy.”
“Sometimes I forget that people are watching everything I do and I say things I don’t mean,” the 28-year-old tweeted to her followers, addressing the upset response she received, adding, “I’m extremely sorry if my comment about my weight offended anyone.”

Offended anyone. Sometimes we can be our own worst enemy. I know people look up to me and I should be way more aware of what I say sometimes

She continued by admitting that she can certainly be guilty of being overly critical of herself (something most of us can relate to), and said, “Sometimes we can be our own worst enemy. I know people look up to me and I should be way more aware of what I say sometimes. Thanks for all the love and support. Hope y’all can forgive me!”
