Get Ready to Tap It Back: Lululemon Just Launched the Perfect SoulCycle Collection
Jan 22, 2019
If Wunder Unders have been your uniform since 1998, and you’ve been tapping it back in the front row since 2006, this news will excite you on a spiritual — nay, a soulful level. Lululemon has finally created a capsule collection with SoulCycle. *Cue loud "WOOT" and hollering noises*
"As our long-time partner and indoor cycling leader, SoulCycle shares in lululemon’s brand philosophy to create, evolve, and provide an exceptional technical experience and product for our guests," said Audrey Reilly, SVP of Women’s Design at lululemon. "During the design process, we obsessed over riders’ needs, and with invaluable insights from SoulCycle Master Instructors, we created a spin uniform that is ‘instructor approved.’ The collection is unequivocally functional and beautiful.” We can personally attest to that — we tried it ourselves at SoulCycle last week!
Bedecked with rose gold accents, surprise reflective details (they reveal themselves with movement), and punched up with colors as fierce as your “sexy corners,” the 20-piece collection drops today at lululemon.com and in stores. There are pieces for women and men, but we’ve gone ahead and highlighted a few of our must-have pieces for the ladies. Consider this to be the new uniform for your Monday-at-noon tribe.
To The Beat Bra ($68): As SoulCycle Master Trainer and founding instructor Laurie Cole said to her class last week (while wearing this little number), "I don't want my cleavage out while I'm riding." This bra is supremely supportive and keeps everything held in and secure while you focus on a supersolid tap-back-press at lightning speed.
Ride and Reflect Tight ($128): Wear your love for SoulCycle and Lululemon on your sleeve... Or on your pant leg, that is. These compression tights have laser cut details that allow for ventilation and breathability, and subtly reflective detailing that reveals itself when you move (it’s seriously cool in person). They come in four different colors, so you can choose what speaks to your inner renegade athlete.
To The Beat Tee ($68): For those of you who like to throw a cropped tee on over your sports bra only to strip it off once the class starts to heat up, then look no further. This shimmery little number is the perfect to and from piece.
Ride and Reflect Bra ($58): Sexy straps and a high neckline are exactly what you need for a distraction-free sweat session. Because who wants to worry a potential... Erm... Slip... When you’re losing yourself in the music and finding your soul?
To The Beat Sweatshirt ($118): After you lather yourself up with a month’s worth of Le Labo shower gel in the locker rooms, toss on a fresh, fierce, and cozy sweatshirt. This one is loose and long, providing extra coverage and comfort — and it’s got that reflective paint splatter for added flair.
Ride and Reflect Jacket ($228): Whether you ride after dark or before the dawn with the rooster crowd, this jacket will keep you dry and protected with stylish reflective splatter detailing for visibility (and fashion points). It's the perfect outer layer for your busy, fit-focused lifestyle.
To The Beat Tight ($128, $148 reflective): Hellooooo, rose gold flecks! These ultra-smooth tights are made from lululemon’s Everlux fabric that’s silky, stretchy, and comfortable for your ride — and they come in four colors.
To The Beat Duffel ($198): A silvery bag to stash your cycling shoes, a heat-proof pocket for your hair straightener, and separate storage for your sweaty and clean clothes — this sleek duffel is all you'll need to squeeze in classes before and after work, appointments, brunch, and beyond.
Light Speed Sock ($18): Socks made our list of top items from the collection? Heck yeah, they did! Similarly to how it’s hard to imagine how necessary a pair of yoga pants can be until you actually try them on, a fantastic pair of socks is something you may not know you need until you try them first hand. They especially come in handy for aggressive cycling classes. These not only have the heel tabs to keep your socks from sliding down mid-Spin, but they’ve also got anti-odor bacteria to keep them from stinking up. Sometimes the littlest things make the biggest difference, you know?
