MAC Cosmetics Has a Basic Bitch Palette But There’s a Catch
There’s some pretty stiff competition in the world of eyeshadow palettes these days. Between the Wizardry and Witchcraft Palette and the Roald Dahl Wonka-inspired palette, we thought we were totally set: Until we got a glimpse at what MAC Cosmetics has been cooking up backstage at Milan Fashion Week.

MAC senior makeup artist Netta Szelkey shared a sneak peek at the palette, and it’s pretty much TDF. Named “Basic Bitch,” (yes, you read that right!), the collection of eight shadows (and a blush) range from a barely there pink to a deep, dark plum and is a Bachelor-watching, PSL-sipping lover’s DREAM.

Even the names of the hues, in mattes and shimmers, are just as cheeky: Me, Me, Me; Gameplayer; Shy Girl; Tattle Tale; Hell in Heels; Big White Lie; Text Me Later; and, our favorite, a pink blush Love This Bitch.

Raine Tauber, one of their senior MUAs from South Africa, also posted the palette on her Instagram. “Swatches of the ‘Basic Bitch’ palette I showed last night, it’s pretty much all the you need for a seriously smoky eye and highlighted skin,” she shared.
While a MAC rep tells us there’s no planned release date and that the product is only in trial stages, we’re SERIOUSLY hoping Netta’s hashtag of “#comingsoon” is more on the money.
