Maddie Ziegler Is About to Become Your New Fashion Muse
To say Maddie Ziegler is having a good year would be a bit of an understatement. The 12-year-old – who got started on the reality show, Dance Moms – has become a staple in Sia’s music videos, danced with Kristen Wiig at the Grammys and is now the face of a new collaboration between dance apparel brand, Capezio and the faithfully vibrant, Betsey Johnson.
The new collaboration is not necessarily “dance inspired,” but is actually made for dancers. You’ll find capris printed with Betsey’s trademark roses, black and white striped leg warmers and a multi-patterned leotard. While all the models for the capsule collection are around Maddie’s age, the collection does in fact come in women’s sizes. Even if you aren’t planning on hitting up a major dance competition anytime soon, you could definitely still find some use for pieces like the boyfriend pants or the graphic top.
Maddie’s gig as the face of the collaboration makes sense not only because she’s arguably one the best young dancers out there, but also because Capezio named her their brand ambassador back in May. This campaign marks Maddie’s first major shoot with the dancewear brand.
If you’ve been on the hunt for an affordable way to invest in more Betsey Johnson pieces, stocking up on a few items from this collab may be just the way to do it.
