This Madewell Collab Is Perfect for the Traveling Food Lover in All of Us
Fashion and food are two major loves in our life. Those two hardly ever intersect, so when they do it’s definitely a reason to celebrate. And folks, it’s looking as though celebration time is now. Madewell has teamed up with Deer Dana, a New York-based shop known for super quirky, pop-culture-themed tees and totes to create three t-shirts that perfectly represent a few of our favorite cities — in food form.
New York, Tokyo and Paris are the three cities currently featured in Madewell’s lineup. The NYC tee features fun illustrations of pizza, donuts and hot dogs. Paris includes cheese, croissants and a baguette while Tokyo shows off a delicious-looking sushi platter. Is it just us or is anyone else getting hungry?
Dana Veraldi, the creative force behind Deer Dana, is known for her simple yet skilled illustrations of well-known pop culture figures like Howard Stern, Frida Kahlo and Yves Saint Laurent. While this may be the first time you’re hearing about Deer Dana, the brand actually has a pretty big celebrity following. Lupita Nyong’o has been spotted in one of their tees with Grace Jones on it and Amanda Seyfried, Jay-Z and Jonah Hill are also known fans.
While the tees on Deer Dana’s site are primarily portraits, the Madewell tops offer a slightly different way to rock Dana Veraldi’s designs. These city-themed tees will set you back $60, which may seem like a nice chunk of change, but c’mon — how often will you find pizza, donuts AND a hot dog all on one t-shirt?
Are you dying to get your hands on one of these t-shirts? Tell us which one in the comments below.
