For those of us who are obsessed with all things Chip and Joanna Gaines, they have just added a new restaurant to their ever-growing family. Magnolia Table, the couple’s first restaurant based in Waco, Texas (of course), is now open in the space formerly occupied by the historical Elite Café. Open six days a week and closed on Sundays, it focuses on Southern breakfast and brunch items such as pancakes, biscuits, bacon, and eggs, with fixes for millennials like green juice and avocado toast. There’s also a pimento cheese sandwich in tribute to the original Elite Café that sounds unreal.
Hungry for more info? Magnolia Tables sources much of its produce locally, with some veggies coming straight from Joanna’s garden. There’s also a kid-friendly menu, a takeaway section for people who want to grab and go, and even a friggin’ coffee bar. Unfortunately the restaurant does not accept reservations and is operating on a first come, first served basis, so if you do want to make that pilgrimage, be prepared for a wait! If you won’t be hitting up Waco, Texas any time soon, chances are you will find a lot of these recipes in Joanna Gaines’ upcoming Magnolia Table cookbook as well.
