Announcing Brit + Co SF: Make and Shop, All Under One Roof!
What do hot cocoa, the movie Elf, handmade gifts, DIY stations, and a holiday photo booth have in common? They’ll all be at Brit + Co SF, a new pop-up retail experience that is open RIGHT NOW in San Francisco!
Sort of like a holiday version of our conference, Re:Make, this Brit + Co take on the holiday pop-up shop is about making, shopping, and being merry! Come on over to 550 Sutter Street here in San Francisco, and we dare you to leave without a jingle-bell rock in your step ;)
Brit + Co SF is a new type of retail experience designed by all of us here at Brit + Co as a destination where you can both make and shop, all under one roof.
First, time to MAKE!
As it’s only open during the month of December, the projects you can make are holiday themed and range from decor to digital goods — and even customizable 3D printed and laser cut products. We’re also offering a whole bunch of classes and events for amping up your creative holiday prowess.
Calligraphy 101: Always wanted to learn calligraphy? Then join us for Calligraphy 101 at Brit + Co SF. Bianca Mascorro of Little Miss Press will be teaching basic calligraphy skills for all your holiday lettering needs. You’ll leave the class with basic calligraphy skills for addresses, gift tags, and more.
This class is on December 9th, from 6:30-8:30pm. A $25 fee covers a two-hour workshop as well as all the supplies you’ll need. Reserve your spot here!
DIY Holiday Marquee Class: Brighten up your home this holiday season with a classic lighted marquee. In this two hour workshop, you’ll learn everything you need to create a marquee for the holiday season. Leave with your very own lighted marquee that spells JOY.
A $50 fee includes a two-hour workshop as well as all the supplies you need to make your own JOY marquee.
The marquee class is available on December 11th, from 6:30-8:30pm as well as December 15th, from 6:30-8:30pm.
3D Printing 101: Always wanted to try your hand at 3D printing? Now’s your chance! Join us for 3D Printing 101, a two-hour workshop that teaches all the basics of using a Makerbot Replicator 2. In this class you’ll learn:
1. The best places to discover 3D designs
2. How to customize designs that you find
3. How to print your favorite designs using PLA plastic
This class is on December 12th, from 6:30-8:30pm. The class costs $20 and includes your very own 3D printed object. Reserve your spot here!
Of course, you also probably need to SHOP! :)
While you’re here, take some time to shop amongst novelty products that have been carefully curated by our team and come from our favorite designers and makers across the country.
Once you’ve made or shopped for your goodies, you probably need to wrap them, right? Enter our DIY Wrapping Station. Armed with all sorts of colorful wrapping papers, ribbons, twine, and customizable gift tags, there’s no way you’ll leave this shop without a well-wrapped gift!
Thirsty? As we mentioned, we’ve got the hot cocoa ready to pour, Elf is playing on the screen, and the holiday music is roaring. Cozy up in front of our washi tape fireplace and hang out for a bit. The chalkboard fire is just begging you to roast some imaginary s’mores.
