Mandy Moore Opens Up About Her Wedding Plans With Fiancé Taylor Goldsmith
Mandy Moore’s This Is Us costars have been pretty open about their feelings on her recent engagement to Taylor Goldsmith. (Spoiler alert: They’re SO happy.) Moore herself recently shared some adorable snaps from her engagement party on Instagram, but she hadn’t really spoken about the news publicly — except to say that he gets along with the rest of the cast and their significant others — until now.
“This is my second go-round,” Moore told Us Weekly at the This Is Us season two premiere, alluding to her previous marriage to musician Ryan Adams. The ex-couple amicably split after six years in January 2015 and finalized their divorce just over one year ago. Their wedding in 2009 was very low-key, and Moore said she’ll more than likely keep things intimate this time too.
“I feel like, I eloped before, and I think I’ll probably keep it very small again,” she said. “I think it’ll be just as small with family and friends.”
Despite her preference for simplicity, Moore previously told People that wearing a beautiful boho gown for This Is Us may have changed how she feels about the whole white dress thing.
“I was like, ‘I know I actually already did this once before but I eloped and I didn’t have a wedding dress, so maybe if I do round two one day… Wearing a wedding dress for that episode kind of shifted my mindset on wearing a proper wedding dress. I was like, ‘I kinda feel like I have to do this in real life now,'” she said at the time.
Now that she’s actually getting to ready to say “I do,” however, it sounds like she’ll probably stick to her simple roots.
“I’ve never been the girl that wanted to wear a white dress,” she told Us Weekly. “No judgment, but it’s not for me. … No bridal magazines for me.”
