Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen Just Made This Purse Spring’s Trendiest Accessory
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are like the crystal ball of emerging style trends, you guys. The twins are known for being total trendsetters + fashion pioneers, constantly being the first to sport styles that are seen seasons later after the trend’s initial debut on the famous duo. The twins’ unique, next level minimalist style is why it makes sense that we turn to them when we’re looking to get ahead of next season’s trends (or just stock up on Olsen Twin wardrobe essentials TBH). This is why when the sisters are seen wearing the same type of bag, we pay attention.
MK&A were spottedboth wearing Drum 10 bags — aka duffle purses — from their line, The Row’s resort 2016 collection in New York City yesterday. Ashley was seen wearing a black crocodile version of the trendy, barrel-like bag while Mary-Kate opted for a camel-colored crocodile style. The bags, which cost anywhere from $2,900 – $4,600, kind of look like mini duffle bags with circles on either side, which give them a solid shape. The middle of the bag has a slightly slouchy vibe to it, giving it a casual, super wearable feel. The duffle purse gives off a perfect balance of informal leisure with proper structure, making it a versatile choice as we head into spring.
As the weather warms up, ditch the oversized tote bag you’ve been hauling around all winter in favor of a duffle purse like the ones Mary-Kate and Ashley were seen sporting. Its adaptable shape will allow you to rock it as your everyday bag (you can fit a bunch of stuff in there), bring it to the office with you (the structured shape keeps it professional) and travel with it (slouchiness is key for being able to fit under an airline seat, y’all). Spring 2016: Get ready for the duffle bag!
