Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen Take Twinning to New Heights on the Red Carpet
These days, it’s rare to see fashion moguls Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen hit the red carpet. It’s even more rare to see the girls, who have come a long way in establishing their own unique identities since their days playing the shared role of Michelle Tanner on Full House, doing the whole matchy-matchy bit. We just got a glimpse of the twins doing both, however, stepping out in some seriously cool coordinated looks that had us doing a double take.
While hitting up the Youth of American Grand Prix Gala in New York City, the duo posed for pics in nearly identical head-to-toe ensembles of pleated maxi skirts, tucked in long-sleeve turtlenecks, and statement drop earrings. The only difference, in fact, seemed to be the color of their getups, with Mary-Kate in beige and Ashley in dark navy.
It was a sight that had us flashing back to the early days of their career, when they were either donning lookalike ensembles 24/7 or keeping the core of their outfits the same (see the floral lace camis they showed off at the premiere of Austin Powers in Goldmember way back in 2002 above) with only minor differences in bottoms or accessories.
Now, if only they’d give us that Fuller House throwback…
