McDonald’s Just Launched Spring’s Most Instagram-Worthy Drink
Cherry blossoms signal the true arrival of spring around the world, and their blooms are a beautiful reminder that summer fun is just around the corner. They also inspire some of the most beautiful seasonal beverages, like last year’s Sakura Frappuccino from Starbucks. This year, McDonald’s Japan is heeding our call for sakura-inspired bevvies with the cutest, pinkest drink yet.
To coincide with Japan’s national Sakura festival, McDonald’s has launched the “Sakura McFloat,” a sparkling pink cherry-flavored soda topped with their soft serve. If ice cream isn’t your thing, you can order it without, called a McFizz. The Instagram-worthy drinks are available on the menu at select restaurants, along with Sakura-inspired burgers and pink fries!

While there are currently no plans to bring the delicious-sounding concoction stateside, we’re hoping that all the Instagram love that the McFizz gets in Japan might inspire local McDonald’s locations to launch their own cute and fizzy concoctions.
Would you like to see a McFizz or McFloat here at home? Tell us @BritandCo!
