The limit does not exist when it comes to our love of Mean Girls. And while we might not have ESPN or something, we totally think a new game featuring our fave Plastics is going to be just as addicting as the classic movie.
Mean Girls: The Game, Return of the Plastics is a new social-mobile game released from So Much Drama Studios for iOS devices. Head back to North Shore High 11 years after the film was released to relive all the drama these high schoolers created. The premise of the game is simple: defend the Spring Fling Tiara through 20 levels and four zones. That means the original Plastics are still at peace with one another, but there’s a new Plastics clique looking to take control and the only way to save the school from a clique rivalry is by piecing back together that broken Spring Fling Tiara Cady passed out at the dance after that looooooong acceptance speech. Sounds grool ;)
If that sounds fetch, there’s even more to the game. Players can choose from eight different characters, each with their own boost abilities: Cady, Regina, Gretchen, Karen, Janis, Damian, Aaron Samuels (so dreamy) or Kevin the mathlete. Not only do you choose your character, but you pick one of 19 cliques to join as well — they have their own specific defense tactics. We wonder what the mathlete and burnout cliques do for defense. Hopefully it’s not making out with a hot dog.
This game might not be the Mean Girls sequel we want and need but it *is* a decent sub in place of your fifth viewing of the movie on Netflix. From burning your friends via social media in the game’s own burn book, to trivia throughout, to power ups that range from getting Kalteen bars and peppermint foot cream, this game definitely won’t make diehard fans say, “Boo, you whore.”
So you agree, you think Mean Girls: The Game is really fetch? Let us know in the comments.
