Meghan Markle Just Had a ‘Who Wore It Better Moment’ With *These* Unexpected Stars
UPDATE: (January 19, 10:14 EST): Yet ANOTHER unexpected star was spotted in the coat: Read on to find out who!
Since announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle has been the subject of plenty of fashion comparisons: namely to her future sister-in-law, Kate Middleton. It two other famous faces the 36-year-old copped the style of when she stepped out for a tour at Cardiff Castle in Wales this morning, however: Christina Aguilera and Courtney Love.
The Suits star continued her sartorial rebellion in a black Stella McCartney Tie-Detail Coat ($1,973), (somber hues are a no-no for members of the Royal family), Hiut The Dina Jeans in a skinny fit (about $245 USD), Tabitha Simons Kiki Boots ($825), and a calf leather Demellier London The Mini Venice Bag ($395) in forest green.
She also threw her hair back in the very same type of messy bun that caused such a stir when she wore it out for her first royal appearance of the year. Style watchers quickly zeroed in on the coat, however, which looked slightly… familiar.
That’s because Christina Aguilera donned the very same coat to the designer’s spring/summer 2018 fashion show in LA just days prior!
The ladies’ similarities ended there, however, with the songstress giving the outerwear a mod feel thanks to her (Kanye-approved!) small oval sunnies, leather beret, metallic chunky chain necklace, and knee-high kicks.
As US Weekly noted, yet ANOTHER star was spotted out in about in the jacket, with Courtney Love sporting the piece to a YSL beauty event with what appeared to be black slacks, leopard pumps, a brick red lip, and tousled blonde waves.
Honestly, we couldn’t pick a favorite if we tried: They all look fantastic!
Hats (or berets, in Aguilera’s case) off to the lot of you, style queens.
