Meghan Trainor Married Daryl Sabara on Her 25th Birthday
Meghan Trainor celebrated two major milestones this week. The “Dear Future Husband” singer married her fiancé, Daryl Sabara, in an intimate backyard wedding on Saturday, December 22 — which just happened to also be her 25th birthday.
According to People, which exclusively reported the news on Sunday, 100 friends and relatives watched the couple say “I do” at their home in LA. Trainor wore a Berta gown and Badgley Mischka heels to walk down the aisle, then changed into a Rita Vinieris suit and sneakers for the reception.
“It’s the beginning of an awesome, whole new life,” Trainor told the mag. “I got way more than I ever wished for.”
The couple’s wedding now shares a date with both Trainor’s birthday and their engagement anniversary. Spy Kids actor Sabara proposed on Trainor’s 24th birthday in 2017, about a year-and-a-half after they first started dating.
“I SAID YESSSSS!!!!” Trainor wrote in an Instagram post to announce their engagement last December. “For my 24th birthday, the love of my life @darylsabara made all of my dreams come true. He proposed to me under a tunnel of beautiful Christmas lights and surprised me with my family and friends. I’m still in shock! I’ve never been this happy. Thank you Daryl, my family and friends for making me feel like a real princess.”
Sabara returned the gratitude, writing in his own post, “Happy birthday to my soulmate. Thank you for changing my life forever and thank you for saying yes! You are the most beautiful fiancé in the world. I love you @meghan_trainor.”
