Your Halloween Bash Needs These Midnight Galaxy Donut Holes
You know us — we love a good over-the-top Halloween bash. But we all know that time-intensive party planning isn’t always an option. That’s why we’re constantly hunting hacks, shortcuts and time-savers that make our parties memorable, Instagram-worthy and just plain FUN — with minimal elbow grease required. Today, we’re teaming up with Dunkin’ Donuts for a speedy, simple and spooky midnight MUNCHKINS® graveyard to make for this year’s spookfest. We opted for a celestial galaxy design for a refreshing update to classic Halloween vibes, and we loooove the results. Now go grab that box o’ donuts and get playing with your food :)
A major perk to this Halloween hack? It’s easy to crank out dozens of midnight MUNCHKINS® in a pinch with edible food spray. We’ll take the 50ct MUNCHKINS® box, please! ;)
Materials + Tools:
- Dunkin’ Donuts Cake MUNCHKINS®
- edible spray paint
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 Tablespoon butter
- 3 Tablespoons milk
- whisk
- parchment paper
- cooling rack
- serving platter
Instructions:
- We’ll start with frosting. Melt the butter, then whisk it together with powdered sugar and milk until combined.
- Dip the MUNCHKINS® in frosting, then set onto a cooling rack to harden.
- Layer on edible spray paint to make a galaxy pattern. Start on one side and work your way around with the rest of the colors.
- Next up, make the graveyard! Crumble MUNCHKINS® to make “dirt” and scatter them around the base of your serving platter. Spray the crumbles with black edible spray paint.
- Top the crumbles with the decorated MUNCHKINS® and other graveyard elements like white chocolate bones and spooky paper silhouettes. That’s it!
