It may feel like the fall TV season has just gotten underway, but it's already time for all those new midseason shows to start — and you'd better hope your calendar's looking clear for the winter, because there's a whole slate of great new series you'll want to make time for. L.A. to Vegas (Fox, January 2, 9pm): This comedy from longtime colleagues Adam McKay and Will Ferrell is about a group of airline employees on the night flight from LAX to Vegas — and then back again. The Four: Battle for Stardom (Fox, January 4, 8pm): Fox gets back into the singing competition game with The Four. Hosted by Fergie and judged by Sean "Diddy" Combs, DJ Khaled, Meghan Trainor, and Charlie Walk, this series features contestants competing for a record deal with Republic Records and the honor of iHeartMedia's "On the Verge" title. Child Support (ABC, January 5, 8pm): Hosted by Fred Savage and starring Ricky Gervais, this game show features adult contestants attempting to answer questions correctly. The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story (FX, January 17, 10pm): Ryan Murphy is back with another installment of American Crime Story, this time looking at the shocking 1997 murder of iconic fashion designer Gianni Versace.
