Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth Walked Their First Red Carpet Together in Four Years
Miley Cyrus hasn’t been shy about letting the world see (or rather, listen to) her love for Liam Hemsworth. It’s all over her new music — including “Malibu,” which was inspired by her famous bae. That said, it’s still unusual to see these two at industry events together. They’ve made a couple of casual joint appearances — last November, they posed together at a friend’s art show — but prior to this week, the last time they walked an actual red carpet as a couple was in August 2013, before they ended their engagement. That changed on Tuesday night, when “LiLey” attended the premiere of Thor: Ragnarok at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood.
Cyrus and Hemsworth were there to support his older brother Chris Hemsworth — just another example of how tight-knit that family really is. When E! News asked the Thor actor about the duo showing up for him, he replied, “It’s nice to have them together. They are busy, and any time they can get together is nice.”
E! tried to pry a few juicy details out of him regarding the status of his brother’s relationship, but the 34-year-old wasn’t about to spill the beans. Instead, he said simply, “I don’t know if they’re engaged. I love them both.”
In any case, the couple — who broke off their engagement in 2013, only to reconnect last year — certainly looked happy together on the red carpet last night. Hemsworth wore a slick black suit and bright white sneaks, while Cyrus cozied up next to him in a colorful floral-print dress and what appeared to be her engagement ring.
