Millennial pink is literally everywhere, so we decided that if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. That's why we created the ultimate brunch inspired by the color defining a generation. BUT, we wanted to take a twist on the obvious. My creative team colleague, Cassidy Miller, and I threw a perfectly pink party for a group of boys. After all, real men wear pink! Scroll on to check out our styling, food, drink, and decor tips and tricks.
Don't mess with this crew!
David is Brit + Co's Director of Ad Operations Strategy. In his free time you can see him coaching boxers or competing in the ring himself. David is wearing pink shorts and a complementary pink collared shirt with a pair of classic white high tops.
Julian is a bartender, currently relocating to NYC. We styled him in a white collared shirt and pale pink chinos. To add a little extra edge, he wore black combat boots with the attire.
Ryan is a San Francisco native, who hangs with his pups by day and does the server hustle by night. We wanted his tattoos to really show, so we put him in a relaxed pink tee with matching shorts.
Mik is a San Francisco-based artist. When he’s not in the studio, he’s napping with his cat Sailor.
It's their first time in front of the camera. I don't know about you, but we think they killed it.
Deck your tablescape out with all pink: food, flowers, and drinks.
As long as they're pink, they're a go! We DIYed our very own pink donuts using cake mix, pink frosting, and a dash of sprinkles. Pro tip: We microwaved the store-bought frosting to transform it into a glaze for the donuts.
We wanted to have the food match the theme, and found that smoked salmon fit into the pink spectrum quite nicely. Crostini + whipped cream cheese + smoked salmon = pink party dreams!
For a quick and easy way to take your party to the next level, add some extra elements to store-bought items, like this cake. For a deeper hue of pink, we topped a lemon cake with fresh pomegranate seeds.
Pink drinks are definitely something to toast about. These bottled bellinis and mimosas are just what this party needed.
Sure, there are disco balls and flower crowns, but have you ever seen a flower-crowned disco ball? Neither have we. We glued fake flowers to embroidery hoops and spray painted them different shades of pink. Using fishing line, we arranged them into the ultimate centerpiece.
What's a brunch without some fancy florals? We're totally vibing with these blushing pink roses.
Taking a twist on the traditional pocket square, we filled Mik's shirt pocket with some fresh flowers.
Inspired by Rodarte's spring 2018 show, we created a baby's breath crown for Julian and used them as our accent flower.
Lookin' good, Julian!
This all-male model shoot was definitely a first for B+C. Unless you count that one April Fool's Day prank!
