It’s Halloween here at B+C, and we are kicking it off with some of our favorite group costumes from 2015. That being said, the Minions group costume of your dreams has arrived! We can’t lie, these little guys have won over our hearts over the past five years. (What!? Despicable Me came out in 2010! Where does the time go!?) We bought all the materials for this group costume from Amazon, but we recommend heading to your local thrift store to find shorteralls (overalls that are shorts) and a long-sleeve yellow shirt. Minions love to be silly and play jokes, so get your goofiest squad together and DIY this costume for your future Halloween party.

long-sleeve yellow shirt, tall yellow socks, a yellow beanie, black gloves and preferably black sneakers.
The first DIY element is the Minion logo on the jean shorteralls. Download the logo here and print it onto dark transfer paper. Cut out and use an iron to attach to the front panel of the overalls.
Let’s talk about these crazy hats! Use black pipe cleaners to create a couple strands of hair by poking each side of the pipe cleaner through the beanie from the inside out. If you can’t get them to poke through, you can just attach with hot glue ;)
For the goggles, we purchased four-inch googly eyes from Amazon. Next, cut a one-inch strip of gray construction paper and hot glue it around the googly eye. Place the beanie on your head and have a friend help attach the googly eyes using hot glue. Finish off the goggles by hot glueing a black ribbon or piece of fabric around the hat as the strap of the goggle. *Note: If you glue these pieces to the hat without it being on your head, you may decrease stretch in the hat and not be able to get it on your head. I am saying this from experience — whoops!
