Selena Gomez is undeniably one of the most exciting stars to watch on the red carpet these days, in part because she's not afraid to pioneer new trends. The "Wolves" singer showed up at the InStyle Awards last month wearing a pair of artfully mismatched shoes by Jacquemus. The mismatching shoe trend has been picking up steam ever since Naomie Harris wore a pair to the Academy Awards back in February and Nicole Kidman followed suit at the Emmys in September. Here's how you can cop this look for yourself.
Soludos Embroidered Platform Smoking Slippers ($114): For beginners trying to dip their toes (forgive us, we had to) into this footwear trend, these adorable winking flat espadrilles are perfect. Score a set for your winter getaway (ideally to someplace warm).
Jacquemus Les Rond Carré Suede Sandal ($545): These baby pink beauties are from the same avant-garde designer who created Gomez's pair. The structural suede sandals sit on mismatched block heels, making them the ideal marriage of comfort and style.
Sam Edelman Hermione Embellished Heel ($105, on sale from $150): Bejeweled strappy pumps like these are a gorgeous way to wear the trend to formal affairs or holiday events. Plus, they're on sale! You're not going to find a better deal for a pair of convo-starting party shoes.
Jacquemus Les Chaussures Clown Oxford ($580): These chic leather Oxfords come courtesy of Jacquemus once again. While the price is definitely a splurge, they're so unique and extraordinary they'll be an investment you treasure.
Del Toro Women's Light Denim Italia Modern Slipper ($): We imagine if Audrey Hepburn's Roman Holiday were set in 2017, her character would be prancing around in a pair of these adorable mismatched flats. The embroidered sky blue denim shoes are made by Del Toro, purveyors of luxe smoking slippers. Ciao!
